Bismillah Hir Rahman Nir Raheem
Ya Hussain, Ya Hussain, the day you were slain
Preserving our true Deen
Establishing Love for Allah (Swt) the Unseen
Ya Hussain Ya Hussain,
Sacrificing all for the Muslims to see
Implementing the laws of the Almighty.
As my forehead touches the soil that holds your blood at Karbala,
I remember that without you I would not know it is Allah (Swt)
that I prostrate to every day and night,
and whose Glory created you and your family with a beautiful light.
No reward did you seek for your sacrifice that day,
except to show us the true and straight way.
Yet what gratitude do we show?
Is crying for you enough to express our sorrow?
If we transform our tears to fuel our purpose in life,
which is solely to worship Allah, given any strife,
then we can show you Ya Hussain,
that our hearts are truly filled with pain.
Ya Hussain, Ya Hussain, the day you were slain
Preserving our true Deen
Establishing Love for Allah (Swt) the Unseen
Ya Hussain Ya Hussain,
Sacrificing all for the Muslims to see
Implementing the laws of the Almighty
Standing up to corruption and oppression, is our goal,
our tears transforming into drops of blood, cleansing our soul
We want to show Imam Mahdi (AS) that we are ready...
just like the 72 with you whose minds were steady
but in pure disgust our heads lower in shame,
our actions and words are not the same
As the events of Kerbala flash through our mind,
We act as if we are truly blind
Sinking deeper and deeper into the sea of ignorance,
will we even recognize Imam Mahdi (AS) when it is time for his reappearance?
The time when the rampant oppression will be transformed into true justice?
The time to show you that our cries were true, our true feelings will surface.
Ya Hussain, Ya Hussain, the day you were slain
Preserving our true Deen
Establishing Love for Allah (Swt) the Unseen
Ya Hussain Ya Hussain,
Sacrificing all for the Muslims to see
Implementing the laws of the Almighty
Please help us to earn your love, Ya Hussain (AS),
for our lives are only clearer as a result of your pain.
Asalaamualaikum Hussain (AS)!
